Prevents acne scars.
Epiduo gel should be applied topically to the affected area of the skin once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime. Use a small amount of the medication (about pea-sized amount) for the face and a thin layer for each area of skin affected by acne. Before using Epiduo gel, wash your face with warm water, and mild or soapless cleanser, then pat dry. Apply a thin layer of topical gel to the acne-affected areas, avoiding the eyes, lips, and nostrils. Rub it gently until it is absorbed into the skin. Wash your hands immediately after applying the topical gel.
Epiduo gel mixes Adapalene 0.1% and Benzoyl peroxide 2.5%.

Epiduo gel is a prescription medication used to treat acne. This topical medication contains a combination of two active ingredients, adapalene (0.1%) and benzoyl peroxide (2.5%). Adapalene is a retinoid that reduces inflammation associated with acne and Benzoyl peroxide kills acne-causing bacteria and helps to exfoliate dead skin cells.
Epiduo gel helps to reduce the risk of developing acne scars.
Epiduo gel is a topical acne treatment only available with a prescription. Pandia Health’s expert doctors are happy to help you get the right topical acne treatment for you to help you say bye to acne and hello to clear skin.
If you stop using Epiduo, your acne may return or worsen. This is because Epiduo works by reducing inflammation, killing bacteria that cause acne, and preventing new breakouts from forming. If you stop using the medication, the bacteria may start to multiply again, and the acne may come back. It is important to follow your doctor’s instructions and use Epiduo as prescribed to achieve the best results.
Epiduo contains adapalene, which is a type of retinoid. Retinoids are derived from vitamin A and are used to treat acne, aging, and other skin conditions. Adapalene works by regulating the growth of skin cells, reducing inflammation, and preventing the formation of comedones, which are the precursors to pimples. Benzoyl peroxide, the other active ingredient in Epiduo, is not a retinoid but kills the bacteria that cause acne.
Epiduo Gel is used to treat acne vulgaris, a common skin condition characterized by the formation of pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads on forehead, jawline, chin, cheeks, neck, upper chest, and back. It works by targeting multiple factors that contribute to the severe acne vulgaris, including inflammation, excess oil production, and bacterial overgrowth. With regular use, Epiduo Gel can improve the appearance and texture of the skin, leading to a clearer, smoother complexion.
